From all (over 3500) varieties of chile peppers I have grown, this has been clearly the most cold tolerant as it's root system survived the hard freezes in the wintertime. There was over -20 degrees of celsius for a long time during that winter. In the spring this little miracle started to grow some new growth! Wild chile peppers are commonly more tough which makes them ideal for bonsai chile peppers for example.
