My hydroponic shelf in the studio-room. This kind of shelf won't take too much space during the winter when germinating and growing small plants. you can fit few hundreds plant in this space here! No soil to mess with, just water & nutrients. I've started all my plants with hydroponics this year, and I'll do so in the future also! Some of the plants will be moved to soil later. This way it's possible to skip several repottings and you can start the season much later as the seedlings and plants grow much faster with hydroponics.
